Modular

PT MODULAR Co., Ltd. (PTM)

PT Modular Co., Ltd. was founded after years of careful planning by its leadership, with the goal of introducing advanced construction methods for interiors—especially modular bathroom (POD) systems.

PTM is among the few pioneering companies in Vietnam for modular bathroom (POD) technology. We bring together professional, talented, and creative teams who are passionate about their work under the guidance of an experienced management board committed to excellence.

PTM operates on the values of integrity and professionalism, and is committed to delivering quality products that satisfy partners and clients in aesthetics, safety, and investment cost.

Advantages of the POD method

  • A single partner for design, manufacturing, distribution, installation, and after-sales service.
  • Factory-produced to a consistently high standard, then installed on the construction site.
  • Wall system with a steel frame, 8 mm CFC board, and rockwool core for acoustic insulation—significantly faster than traditional masonry (each cement-board panel covers about 3 m² of wall, cutting on-site wall build time by more than 50%).
  • Greatly reduces the need to hoist and distribute sanitary fixtures and materials floor by floor.
  • Factory production lowers simultaneous labor demand on site, reduces staging-area pressure, and limits the impact of adverse weather.
  • Based on site experience, POD technology can reduce on-site construction time by up to 80% versus traditional methods—freeing building space and vertical transportation capacity for other trades and shortening overall project duration.

POD vs. TRADITIONAL CONSTRUCTION

Traditional construction

Quality:
Work is scattered across the site and performed by general labor, with coordination that is highly dependent on people. Quality control is difficult, and finish quality is often inconsistent.

Technical performance:
With a 100 mm masonry wall, fire resistance is approximately 30 minutes; however, thermal transmittance is higher than 1.2 W/m·K, and sound insulation is about 38 dB.

Economic impact:
Higher thermal transmittance (about 50% greater) means greater energy consumption.
Extended construction schedules affect project cash flow.

POD technology

Quality:
Guaranteed through rigorous inspection and industrialized production. Centralized quality control delivers consistent product quality. Factory processes minimize human variation; POD components are modularized and manufactured on a continuous production line with no idle stages.

Technical performance:
Superior acoustic and thermal insulation. For a 100 mm wall assembly, fire resistance is approximately 30 minutes, while thermal transmittance is below 0.5 W/m·K. With two cement-board layers and a rockwool core, sound insulation reaches about 60 dB.

Economic impact:
Lower thermal transmittance (about 50% better) reduces operating energy consumption.
Shorter construction duration helps the owner bring the project into operation earlier, improving cash flow after handover.
